What is a Permaculture Orchard? We start by looking at what it’s not first. My progression from a purchased conventional 4,000 tree monoculture apple orchard. Transitioning to an organic monoculture apple orchard. Tearing out most of the organic orchard to replant in a poly cultural Permaculture Orchard.
Then compare it with a food forest in terms of light, canopy height, ease of harvest, and preferred climate (temperate, subtropical, subtropical). Add to it the two basics: trios and grocery store concept.
