About this event
Fall harvest time Tour of Miracle Farms, also known as “the Permaculture Orchard”. Featured in the films “The Permaculture Orchard: Beyond Organic” and “The Earth from the Heart”. Usually I would say “Bring your taste buds” but this year is UNIQUE to show you a DOWN year in production. The trees are mostly on vacation and the fruit quality is dismal. This is what can happen to your future project and demonstrates the reality of farming.
You’re welcome to arrive earlier with your picnic and have lunch with us and the other Tour participants. It’s always nice to get to know you and your projects so we can help you as best we can.

ABOUT Miracle Farms:
Miracle Farm’s mission is to change orchard practices from monoculture to polyculture while creating wildlife habitat and returning the wow factor to food.
1.5 Hectare was replanted as a “permaculture orchard” from ’97-’99, making it the largest in Eastern North America. Although a commercial farm, Miracle Farm serves as a private research farm for the demonstration and education of orchard permaculture practices.
As a research farm it has allowed experimentation in various techniques and innovations that has resulted in the Permaculture Orchard Model of production which has been described in the recent films: “The Permaculture Orchard: Beyond Organic” and “The Earth Seen from the Heart”.
